WWE, THQ and the Diva Disaster..

I wanted to post some more thought from others about
the lack of female support in the games  with quotes
from others as well as maybe a few more thought
from myself.

A female Fan had this to say below:

"The WWE wrestling game, be it SVR or the latest WWE'12, is the only
legitimate option we have in the United States in terms of a mainstream,
across-all-consoles, wrestling game. We do not have the luxury of having other
options, and the times we did, the "competition" (being TNA Impact and
Lucha Libre AAA:  Heroes del Ring) wasn't much of a competition in terms of
female/women's/diva wrestling. By default, wrestling games tend to ignore their
women's divisions of the respective company they're representing, and I'm very
grateful for the developers of current and past WWE games to allow themselves to
put their time and development into the "Divas" division of their wrestling games.
Though I will say that if "WWE All Stars" actually had divas in the game, I would
have probably purchased it by now, instead of currently waiting for that assumed price drop.

Restrictions personally do not bother me to much, and while I am a fan of inter-gender
match-ups, not having the option to face opponents of the opposite gender isn't necessarily
a deal-breaker for me, but I as a player do understand the importance of having this option
in the game. Now for me personally I have to say I care more for the creation aspects of an SVR/WWE game, more so than the actual game-play elements. New submission system? Cool. New grapple-breaking engine? Awesome. Bringing back camera angle/action shots in simulated CPU vs CPU matches? Please, I beg of you. I would personally love a better CAW/CAS mode for female wrestlers. Not being able to connect a straight line design from the chest area to the back area is aggravating, especially when trying to create bra-straps for a top. Not being able to wrap a design around the upper torso, and keeping it straight is also very aggravating (it tends to curve when wrapping onto the back, making it odd to create a top.) Would love more female hair options, a better selection of bra types, and a revamped face/body morphing selection.

While difficult to have/find a diva match online, it always has been, even before the restrictions were put into place. I would often have diva vs superstar matches online in SVR08, and hardly diva vs diva, since the majority of people playing the game do not necessarily give female wrestlers the same respect as male wrestlers. Sames goes for pretty much anything wrestling related, honestly. But as stated previously, SVR/WWE is our only option when it comes to female/diva/women's wrestling in a mainstream wrestling game, and while I understand the concerns of "beating up women," and the morals it may implement, people do have to understand that inter-gender match-ups aren't as "taboo" as they believe they are. They happen in the independent scene, the Japanese wrestling scene, pretty much everywhere but current-day WWE and TNA. In the past, inter-gender attacks in the WWE helped convey an emotional connection to the audience. Trish Stratus for instance, has often taken bumps from male wrestlers, even getting hit by finishing maneuvers. By doing so, it made the audience hate whomever did the maneuver, even despise them, which in turn made them care for the status of Trish Stratus for taking that bump, maybe even getting the respect of the audience. There was also an angle between Stacy Keibler, Test, and Scott Steiner, which resulted in Stacy taking bumps. Lita has also taken many bumps from male wrestlers, and even has done moves against male wrestlers. In my honest opinion, these inter-gender attacks helped make the audience care for the divas, even holding them on a higher pedestal than current-day WWE divas. Lita gets a lot of respect from the WWE audience, despite not being that technical of a wrestler. Trish gets a lot of respect from the WWE audience, when Natalya is a better wrestler than she is, and probably ever will be, again that's just my opinion.

Most recently, I had to make a female referee in CAW/CAS mode, because the referee in the game is recognized as "male superstar," and in order to convey the final scene in my CAW-Show, I needed a referee. If you could fix this in future games, where not-actual-wrestling talent, like a nameless referee isn't tagged as a certain gender in-game, it would make it a lot easier to create scenes in Story Designer using female wrestlers."
----------

I personally do agree with this players post, I personally do respect people
like Lita and Trish way more then the Bella twins or god forbid someone like
Layla.  Take me for example compared to someone like Layla I'm Andre the giant.
she is like what? 5'2"- 5'3" where I'm 6'0" I'm fit and athletic, I'm interested in Kick boxing and have done some (not professionally) I do stuff from a position of strength and power, I love submissions and I'm a fighter. and I put this all into my CAW/CAS becasue its biased off me personally. and if I were to become a WWE Diva from what I can see the only threat to me would probably be Beth Phoenix.
I'm not going to sweat the small stuff (Layla lol) so for actual competition I want to fight the men I want to fight Undertaker and HHH on the game not EvE and Kelly Kelly.

Lets take Tough Enough for a good example the only reason I watched
the new series with Stone Cold  was 1. There was women doing it
in the ring with the men fighting it out.  2. because Trish on it.
it goes back to that respect, I respect Trish as a competitor.

I'm not a "Diva" and don't like referring to myself as one
because I am a fighter, I am a Wrestler and I am a Female Competitor!
people treat Wrestling like its bad,  No truer words have been
spoken then the ones in the videos below:

Tara:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBGJprmrXI4
Hogan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBkKPfh9FMQ

(I know using TNA videos in a WWE Argument  but they make my point)
I agree with what they say I'm all about putting fist to face
and foot to ass! and the way that SVR & soon to be WWE12 are going
I'm hindered in doing what I love.

Also as we go back to the respect angle  yes it is alot about that
as a female player, when I fist started playing online It wasn't
easy, it was brimming with hate from the Male players  becasue
I was female and in the first few months I had to play harder,
faster and smarter then my male counterparts  to earn their
respect.  I fought top players on the PSN and won earning
their respect and was even invited to join groups
becasue they valued my skill, strength and aggression.

But that all seem like a waist now, due to the idiocity and
assholery of The Gender Restrictions.

---

Another players comments about how WWE has ruined the
female division by running it into the ground  and
also about the awesomeness of Games that Gender Restrictions
FREE as well as how Amazing inter-gender tag teams and play can be:

"The main problem is that WWE doesn't give them the time to shine, nor the
storylines/feuds so they can shine as much as previous women in early years.

So they mostly end up running up to the ring, rush through 2-3 moves and clear the ring so the audience can watch the same old advertisements of what happened between superstars in a other show for like 10 minutes, then a Michael Cole or other stupid segment get shoved down their throats additionally to other things.

Also, games, like No Mercy and Fire Pro Wrestling allows women and men to go for any title, including tagging together for the Tag Team Championship.  In the wrestling world outside WWE, there are men and women tagging together to win whatever tag team championships are available. Some promotions even went as far as to create inter-gender tag team championships just for the cause.  Just look for a Sara del Rey & Chris Hero match and you'll see just how good it can be."

---
I totally agree with what this person says, about the WWE and The games
and more especially the games.  Like I said in the original post
(How they ruined Smackdow VS Raw)  my guy and I were an amazing team
offline when playing with friends on SVR09 or previous.. The same goes with
online and my online male friends when I tagged with one of them we totally rocked!!

But ever since the introduction of the Gender Restrictions in SVR10
this has stopped I hardly play with any male friends anymore and that
hurts me greatly!!  and who did this? WWE did!! they took this away
from me and away from all the other female players who enjoyed playing
with the Guys in there life.

WWE doesn't care about the female fans and I don't believe THQ
does either.  In the WWE 12 - Gameplay Q&A #5 (below)
That ass Cory Ledesma says at the slider position of 5:15

"If its not broke don't fix it!"

Well you are fixing stuff that wasn't broken to begin with!
becasue you seem to be doing a good job of "Fixing" the Divas

and then he goes on to say at 5:25:

"We want to make sure were not stripping away features the fans
really like and make sure the best parts of the game are still in"

Yeah..sure.. you don't want to strip away stuff unless its Diva
related  right Cory?

and then finally around 7:26 - 7:34 on the slider he says

"We fight for the community and get the features they want in it"

Which I and many people believe that is a load of BULLSHIT!
You don't fight for me..?  I'm fighting for myself as well
as all the other female players that lost features that
they loved and enjoyed.  Or is it that you only fight
male players?  or the people who totally kiss your
and THQ collective ass?

Now alot of Male plays constantly tell me
"Mixed Tags are good enough for the Divas they don't
need anything else"

Now the people who say that clearly never did
a Mix Tag match and if they did they are having a
completely different experience then I am..

A friend of mine and I have had well over 100 Mix Tag matches.  every match is a maximum of 3mins or less (this is not including entrances this is actual in match time bell has rung match has begun) why 3mins?  simple!  The Gender Restrictions!!!
either I get hit or the opposing Diva feels the need to jump in and get hit on purpose.
true sometimes there are accidents but mostly not.  out of the over hundred matches my friend and I probably only played 4 where there was no shenanigans and out of those 4 full matches we won 2.  we should get a PSN trophy for the most matches in the shortest amount of time.

at times the opposing Superstar has run from the up left corner in a stright line stright passed my Superstar partner and speared me off the apron. Trigering the match to end due
to DQ as per the "rules" set forth by the Gender Restrictions.
Yes that was an actual match I was in....

There have been times when the opposing Superstar had my Male partner on the other side of the ring and would leave him on the mat and claimly walk across the ring and punch me.  triggering the DQ.  WTF?!?  can I do anything about this?  No I have to make a whole new match!!!

That Ridiculousness wouldn't fly on SVR09 and if I had the ability to turn off the DQ on SVR11 in Mix Tags after he would hit me I would get up get in the ring and kick his ass!
and if his female partner tried to stop me I would kick her ass just for good measure!!!

but no! THQ/WWE took way my ability to get retribution! The tag line for SVR11 is
"This is Your Moment" Um..Excuse me, THQ? you seem to have removed my ability to create "Moments" um can I have it back please? it would be nice if I could do that like everyone else.

For a video game that purports to give the player ultimate control over their creations and the in game Universe it does a terrible job of it especially when it comes to female characters.  Like I said Women created or otherwise should be able to compete in any match type no matter what it is and should be able to compete against
whoever the player chooses, be it another Diva or a Superstar/Created Character or other wise.

Here is the Single greatest example of how Mix Tags are when you play online or in general.

---------

A male Player said this to me:

"I agree with this 110%. I made a, Lita CAW on SvR '10, but realized what was the point in that? I couldn't have her get her revenge on, Cryme Tyme in create a story. besides a fatal four way with, Lita vs Trish Stratus vs Natalya vs Mickie James there was really no point in creating her, If I can't have her fight who I want."

----------------

I fully agree with what he said.

also Mixed Tags are used in Ranked matches mainly by cheaters for stats boosting
Noob/Cheater will make a Mixed Tag just so they can pick a Diva and run into
the ring and get hit on purpose so they can pick up an easy win.

So you see THQ making it were "hitting a girl" is a DQ-able offense actually
backfired where people are getting suckered into this and now they have a DQ
penalty on them that is taking away their points at the end of the match
which is making them not very happy.. yeah great system you have in place there
THQ absolutely brilliant!

More complaints From Female Players:

"Thq's excuse as to not putting our match (6 Diva Tag) in the game, and blaming it on polygons no less. While that may be a good answer, its not for me. So maybe their are some tech hurdles and issues they have their and they may be seriously telling us the truth. Here's my problem and why i think that excuse is a bunch of BS personified.

For one they say that they hear us right? they understand why us diva fans are complaining and they promise justice will be served. Its been 2 going on 3 years now since we been complaining about that match going back in since they took it out. WWE 12 is around the corner and they have done exactly nothing since they said that. You guys can defend that statement on your tech hurdles and even say "their focus is core gameplay this year" ok that's some good bull shit i wont buy any of it but that's good bull shit.... explain why we didn't have this last year in 2011? And then whatever you have to say as to why we didn't have last year disregarding people glitching the match online explain why we didn't have it in 2010. There's my problem, we have to wait till WWE 13, Raw 13, wrestling 101, 2013 or whatever the hell they wanna call it next year, and then again its not promised next year, and the way Corey was talking about it he didn't seem to interested on working on it either.

Here's the thing, and to why i wont buy or listen to their excuses, its a simple fact that i would never complain for a feature or match type that's never been in the game before, if we never had this then yes i would still complain about them getting it in the game but i wouldn't stress it or make a big deal i would just say its another THQ fail to give us the game we want. but since it has been in the game before, for whatever reason they took it out why is it so hard to put back in. You can't say its slow cause all the games are slow my 2011 character select is slow and the menus following it, not to mention online glitchers who made the match seemed to work just fine. you say its tech hurdles but a glitcher just glitched your crap and made it happen yet THQ can't yeah that's reasonable. also guys can do these matches just fine even though they have their beards and some of them have long hair HBK,Taker,Morrison, etc

I can't buy in to the tech excuse because I don't see why their playing it off. Now i understand it is a guys game so of course superstars will get the most attention to satisfy the guy audience, i don't care if they get more stuff than the diva's i'm not complaining about them having more features. they clearly show that their putting more effort into other things but they can't give one diva match the same amount of attention they do to other modes and features. its been 2 going on 3 years now, whats the hold up on diva matches cause now its looking to be 4 years now since we won't get it this year again. they should have had any bug or tech hurdle issues fixed by now. if a minor issue like that came up in the other match ups i bet they get fixed before next years game, they say this year they fixed online stuff....congrats good job on that, you fix that the next year you see people angry about it, yet you ignore your diva fans... that's fair."

They have a point I do agree with them and they go on to say:

"I won't buy in any excuse they give me because of that, theirs no excuse, at this point i really want to know whats the real reason cause this is just something i gotta know. If i was that nerd corey here is how i would go about it. I see i have to focus on this and that and yeah people been complaining about this. I see my male audience wants certain stuff, showing favortism is ok if you get both audiences satsified (diva's should be prioty since we been complaining for 2 years going on 3) i would show both sides equal amount of my time and seeing how the guys get what they want and divas don't.. shows you what they think. They have the time to perfect ortons beard yet they can't give us a match and we get the exact same crap from last year on top of that, thats just awsome makes me jump for joy -_- "  (note the sarcasm)

Once again I fully agree and so does this person below:

"Their is no excuse at all, just as Ashley said. I can believe that cause clearly they don't care even though its supposed to be "our time now" "our universe" they need to stop saying that cause its not our time now "its THQ'S time now" when you completely ignore an audience for over 3 years you know they just messed up. they can fix every other bug and all that yet they seem to can't get this one match that they did before, doesn't make sense to me at all.

I loved the game so much, its not cause of gameplay i could really careless, they can bring back 2006 gameplay and wouldnt hurt me one bit. I loved the game strictly for CAWS and creation. however if the diva's weren't in the game i wouldnt get it, i wouldnt rent it, it would be pointless. Yes i play with the guys too just so you know but i favor the divas of course and play with them the most, all my caws are diva's except for 1 male and that male is made for achievements only and thats it. No diva's means no diva caws which mean they take away my reason of buying the game. When the game first comes out and i would do it every year, i edit my roster and make sure everything right, clean or dirty, etc and then caw creation, i have them all on paper in alphabhetical order, dirty or clean and their brand so i make them all at once then i give them movesets as well as fix the existing superstars/diva's move sets then i do entrances and exisiting superstars and divas too. then i go into playing the game, so i spend a week creating. Even though there is alot of negitives I try to enjoy the game every year, but let me tell you this issue on six diva's tag better see some light cause pretty soon i might just stick to my other games and leave the wrestling on tv, cause clearly i dont need to keep playing something where the developers dont care about a certain part of their fans.

Ive seen other company's making bad decisions before, Microsoft completely failed their E3 show case, the only good thing they showed was gears 3 and that's it. they spend literally almost an hour talking about Kinect, when you talking about making bad decisions, this defines it, they have it where if you want to go to Disney land ... Kinect. you wanna see Elmo and all the little kids and Disney stuff your Xbox supports that now...you gotta be kidding me. another company Square Enix in my mind the best company ever (since i love rpgs) even i admit they been messing up lately, they failed in so much stuff. so why do i continue to support 360 even though i have a ps3, they have other stuff that keeps me interested in their stuff, Square Enix been messing up but I'm still with them cause they have other things such as FFXIII -2 keeps me interested and it has what i want. THQ is making a bad decisions with their diva fans, something or somebody needs to get handled soon cause right now creation is the only thing that's keeping me their, put that six diva match in their and i'm satisfied.

So ask yourself, really do they really have a good excuse to be ignoring something this big which is driving people away from their stuff, which will drop them in sales....really just think about it and tell me I'm wrong for not buying that polygon crap."

And the debate continues with others saying:

"Ive heard both sides and i have to agree with what raekon is saying after all us and double h both came up with it together. its true their could be some other reason with the tech stuff this year, but as I said doesn't explain why last year and the year before that. They promise we will get this and do nothing at all the following year and now they give us the same crap this year.

They shouldn't keep asking us for what we want in the game if their not going to deliver.

Ive heard their crap for 3 years now and i see that their is no explanation as to why? look at everything we talked about, theirs no possible excuse at all. people hack their system and bypass their supposed crap that they call tech hurdles and such yet they can't do it but hackers can.

You want evidence its staring you in the face, THQ favors other stuff which i don't blame them but they could at least show equal time for the divas as well. They don't care about the divas, they don't care about their diva fans regardless how much Corey says he hears us. They care more about getting beards in most peoples words, I think they care more about their stupid belt sizes and caw limits than anything else. They give us a feature for create modes just so we can keep buying their product. You guy's are blind if you can't understand whats being shown in front of you.

I brought up 2011 and 2010 to state my case that they have been telling us they would fix for those years, 2010 showed nothing they said, 2011 we got nothing again. we should be looking at the future which is WWE 12? your right I'm looking at the future and seeing how we still get nothing again this year that future is looking kind dull and repeated time again and again.

Once again tech issues, that's all everybody says is tech issues, whats so different about their tech issues that they haven't fixed yet huh? whatever tech issues they have for 6 man tag match where fixed right away, online glitching they fixed that right up, they fix up everything else except something that involves a diva, conspiracy against their diva fans, I'm not just blaming THQ I'm blaming WWE they favor other modes and fancy beards...hell i care more about john Morrison's than Orton's and i don't see anybody talking about that. They can keep saying tech issues but the guys have equal features like the diva's yet its not a problem or it gets fixed yet 3 years on our match and they still come up with lame excuses."

So there you have it people are upset, people are angry,  people are let down and feel as though
the people in charge don't give a damn about that  and I am one of those people..

Think the games are awesome? think they're great?
I and many other people are being held back due to our gender
being held back because of bureaucracy
being held back to "protect us"
being held back for our own good
being held back becasue of "false" technical issues.
being held back due to old outdated ideas
being held back becasue we aren't considerd important
In short I and many others are just simply being held back..
I am being held back from enjoying a product the way I want to as it is keeping

me from my friends.from enjoying it the way as everyone else does.

The game has to return to being made with fairness on both sides. You shouldn't put all the
efforts in to just one side of the game  It has to be done equally the male characters would get just as much development and attention as the female characters.  there would not be a special set of rules governing  one side and not the other, there should be no limitations placed on one side and not the other.

If the men can take part in any listed match type being it ladder, extreme, Hell in a Cell or 6 Man tag, then it would be only fair that the women could do that as well.. women would be allowed to take part in any and all listed match type being it ladder, extreme, Hell in a Cell or 6 Man tag.  Fair and equal on both sides.  Also it should be brought back to were it would support Gender Neutral game play female and male characters can compete against each other in any listed match  be it online or offline.  The goal of this should be you would want people to play together and have fun and interesting match-up regardless of the gender of the player and their character.

For those who believe that
Gender Neutral game play is a morally reprehensible issue then they would have the ability to turn this feature off, Also by turning this feature off you will be prompted for a password.  Once password is in place the ability to take part in the male vs female match types will be disabled.  Because of course we have to think of the children http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThinkOfTheChildren

or instead of turning off the feature and being prompted for a Password the
game ships with the feature already locked and in the case you get a DLC style card
with a password on it that turns off the Gender Restrictions and gives you that
3rd "anyone" option.People who don't want to use it don't have to, and they can
continue play the way they want to and everyone is happy.

Or still yet again, game ships with the feature already locked
and you have to go on PS Store and purchase an update for say
$3.99-5.99 that will unlock it and turns off the Gender Restrictions
and gives you that 3rd "anyone" option.
People who don't want to use it don't have to, and they can
continue play the way they want to and everyone is happy.
there is many things you could do, with out really changing anything..

But in the End fairness, equality and fun should be a main priority.

Who's to Blame?

I didn't truly know what to call this post, but I think
that title is very appropriate becasue that is what people
do they look for something or someone to blame, instead
to being accountable for their own actions.

Now this post came about when I posted a comment about
WWE12 that made me look like a crazy bitch on the SVR.com
page.  Now I was trying many times to have a serious
discussion on there at times, but I don't know I think
alot of the time people mostly Men are incapable of having a serious
discussion especially on online.

So I seen guys put up crazy rant posts and be taken
seriously so that is what I decided to do.
and it was met with many levels of negativity and
hostility especially from one User by the name of
KurenaiOD  who told me if I wanted to engage the board
in a serious discussion I should come up with a serious argument
and not just makes crazy posts and statements.

I then sent him a Private Message (PM) to tell him that
is what I was trying to do before but no one would take
me seriously and that message would result in a
intelligent conversation which is posted below
on "Who's to blame"

(side note I go by DisapointedDiva on
that website were the below messages are from becasue
I'm disappointed in the game)

Original serious argument:

but like I said if people are going to be dicks to me  when I'm trying to stand up
for what I believe in then I'm going to be a crazy bitch  becasue that is the only
way they understand things.   whenever I meet someone online who just wants to
be an Asshole for the sake for being an Asshole  it kind of reminds me of that line
from the Dark Knight

Alfred Pennyworth: Because he thought it was good sport. Because some men
aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied,
reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

and its the same on the internet some people on here don't care about the game, or
its production or what goes into it and some probably have never played it any of them.
All they want to do is cause an upset.

you would say "I would like them to put such and such back in"  and people will agree
with you  but those hand full of people will disagree with you no matter what it is.  they
just disagree becasue they think its funny.  they might actually want the thing also but they
will disagree for the sake of disagreeing.

That is very true, that's the sort of argument I prefer to read not the whole
"being a crazy bitch" thing, yes sometimes people only understand that sort of act
but at the same time a lot of arseholes are playing to get you acting that way.

By throwing a wobbly you provoke arrogance and arsehole behavior from them,
being mature, they just look like stupid morons who can't string words together.
Brains in debate will always outweigh heavy words, especially heavy words created by such a brain.

I was wrong about you basing my opinion on that first outspoken post, you clearly do
have a good head on your shoulders, so I apologize if anything I said insulted you initially,
I just can't stand pussy complaining since I am so used to more constructive and intelligent
discussion... also due to the hoohaa it causes on the forum where there are so many egotisical
gits on here.

Well that's true and that is the original argument that is always talked about. but even when I leaded with that people give me crap over it.  consistently just like heaping it on.  to the point where you have to strike out at some times.   and yes like I said i tried to have more constructive and intelligent discussion which I have had with alot of people through the message function but when you try to do it in a general discussion mode  I just have assclowns and jerkstores  all over me.  telling me I'm crazy and an idiot and just cursing me out.

But like I said I have research, facts and figures my opinions, other peoples opinions, and actual quote from a reporter from an actual serious wrestling site, stuff that contradicts what WWE says.  having them not care what I said after THQ told me "its not our problem"  I didn't half ass this.   "Brains in debate will always outweigh heavy words"  thats not always true people will always be like the horse from Ren & Stimpy and be all "No Sir, I Don't Like It"  and alot of the times they do it just to be jerks.

Also people like to get up on their moral high horse  but  like I told that mike guy  "You can have all the moral authority in the world, but being on the “right” side doesn’t mean being right."

and well like I said I don't complain if there is nothing to complain about, I'm not that type of person but this is worth complaining about becasue it is unfair to a great majority of players.  That is why I'm mad with pretty much the whole thing  is as far as the women are concerned they are two faced and hypercritical  they say one thing and do another.

Also that's why I came up with the idea of making it a option as well as having an on/off switch.   if you can turn on/off the blood why not this?    There are many ways you can argue this  but in the end it just seems futile..

and do you know what hurts me,  the number 1 thing right now that everyone is concerned about isn't this..it isn't game play or move set  the number one thing people care about in WWE12 is whether Randy Orton will have a beard or not...that's your WWE Universe..

To be honest this actually came up a while back, I suggested an optional thing too with being able to turn off inter-gender etc.  I brought up sexism and how the female gamers were getting a raw deal, it's somewhere in the old SvR 2011 threads, it was called something along the lines of "Do WWE intentionally paint the picture that women are weak or is it WWE?", can't remember the title exactly but it may show up in the search.

I agree with you in the sensible wording you put it down as, as did I agree with your following points.

Oh and please don't get me started I've left enough sarcastic posts in that stupid beard thread XD  It's true that is one of the stupid things people are concerned about.

Well I didn't know that it came up awhile ago  as people seem to like to point out I haven't been here very long, not that it matters.  Also yes that would be the best idea to do, is to make it a choose-able thing.  Not remove it completely for fear that some mother somewhere in the world will start a shit storm and blame WWE becasue lil Jimmy punched his sister.

I don't know if you have kids, but have you ever watched kids play?  I don't have any at lease not yet,  but a friend of mine has a son he is 9 going on 10 and like most lil boys he has quite a few action figures. Now I have watched him playing he'd have his ring set up and have Mickie James Fighting Triple H.   Triple H would punch her out and in comes Beth who kicks him in the head and when Triple H goes down Cena jumps in clotheslines  Beth, then Mickie who has gotten up comes off the top rope and cross bodies Cena and it goes on and on like that...  Kids don't discriminate..Kids are taught to discriminate.

Now true someone could say that is a tell tale sign that he will grow up to be an abuser..   How does that work he is just a lil boy playing with his toys on the living room carpet..   Now if someone were to come in there and tell him "oh you can't play like that,  The women characters can't be in the ring with the male characters"   he would probably look at you like you have 2 heads..   and it would bring up the question of  "what right do you have to tell him how to play"  that stifles his creativity, his imagination and he will feel like he is doing something wrong and it will as you put it "intentionally paint the picture that women are weak"  and that is just wrong.

Now like I said I don't support or condone violence towards women "in real life" like where you hear about some guy stabling his girlfriend on the news that's not cool. but on the other side of it were talking about stuff that isn't real.  your not really beating up real people on the Smackdown VS.Raw games. true you could say  the Undertaker is real,  but not in the game it is a visual representation of someone, its a computer model, its an Avatar.   having a computer generated Stone Cold Steve Austin fighting it out with a computer generated Trish Stratus is not going to hurt anyone.  but sure according to watchdog groups, it will. I don't see how but it will with their made up stats and moral righteousness.

But thanks for agreeing with my points and when putting it down I wanted to be precise and truthful there is no made up stuff in my blog posting it can all be back up with source links and videos I provided.   I wasn't going to say something with out having some evidence of what I was saying was factual

I know the whole beard thing is rather stupid  I posted my quote on other places

"do you know what hurts me,  the number 1 thing right now that everyone is concerned about isn't this (Diva Restrictions and discrimination)..it isn't game play or move set  the number one thing people care about in WWE12 is whether Randy Orton will have a beard or not...that's your WWE Universe.."

out of all the weighty more important things we could be talking about concerning the game this is the number one thing people are worried about?  but I guess this place is no different from any other all the serious threads get lost in the crap post post.

Yeah I know, to be totally honest for the most part I don't buy the "Games make kids into violent killers" bullcrap, it's parenting, if the parents were spending time with their kids and watching them properly and not buying overrated age games for them they would be doing them a favor.  Too often films and games become excuses for bad parents, that seems to be the case for the most part.

I remember a killing here in the UK where a kid stabbed someone with a screwdriver in the neck and the mum went on and blamed Manhunt... totally missing the fact that the game was 18 rated and the boy who drivered the other was 14... so that bit her on the arse because she actually willingly bought the game.  If the game is to blame then surely the mother is the murder?  But no of course not it's the games fault not hers at all, blame the game, restrict on developers creativity because you are a bad parent.  Being a games design student it's something the pisses me off since we get hit with restrictions when some idiot parent buys a game they shouldn't lol.

That Phinneus guy is getting all lordy with his opinion again, lol accusing me of attacking him when I voiced my opinion, if he gets that irritated by me saying something against him, that means he's attacked every post I've ever made lol.  Ah well he'll go away eventually, he attacked me ages go over a CAW when I voiced my opinion about not liking it lol.

I totally agree, now I don't play or support the shooter games.
I don't have a problem with FPS in general if your some Space Marine
in the year 3035 shooting Aliens or robots that's all well and good.
but if your in present day and everything is realistic like how it actually
is in an actual combat situation then that is a bit to much.
Also I don't think games like this send a good message becasue you
could be doing  "Mission Pack: Iraq" and you go and start shooting
Iraqis. is that a good message to put out there?  not really becasue
pretty soon anyone with darker skin becomes "the enemy".
Now I know that might sound hypocritical being for one thing and
not the other but then again it is all a point of view.

But I do agree with you also, It is parenting and yes alot of
it is the parents are "too busy"  and rely on this stuff to much
when they should be spending time with their kids and actually
paying attention to what types of media they consume. One of the
arguments I bring up is the games are rated T for Teen.
if the kid is like 8 years old he shouldn't be playing
the game to begin with becasue I missed the announcement were
being 8 made you a Teen.

also people complained and complained and a ratings board was
put into to place and where did that get us? No where..becasue
no one pays attention to it.. Also people might say well Shooters
are rated M so only people over 17 can buy them.  and I would say
are you serious? people under the age of 17 are going to play
this no matter the rating. trust me on this.

I know becasue I work retail. I work at my friends
collectables shop and we sell games there and I have had
8-10 year olds try to by M rated games and I have to be all
"sorry hon you're not old enough"  and they would leave and
no more then 3-5mins an adult walks in and buys that exact
same thing and who is this? it was probably their mom or
dad waiting in the car outside. So being that this is an
adult I have no problem selling it to them.
and after a few hours to the next day I had that same
person come back and throw a fit about how I could sell
this to their child and all that speel and I tell them I
didn't sell it to their child I told your child No and
and they went out and complained to you and then you
came in and bought it for them and gave it to them.

So of course they don't like that answer and the thing is
returned (open stuff like that are put on the shelf behind
the counter and sold at a discount to make up the money that
had to be refunded)  There were even times when the parent
and the kid were there and I told the parent that this is
rated such and such and they wanted it anyway.. so they have
no right to complain after wards becasue if they don't want
there kids exposed to certain things they shouldn't be buying
the kid the things that will expose them to it.

also that is Bullcrap saying "Games make kids into violent killers"
they will always say that about stuff though.
in the 50s Elvis dancing was only shown from the waist up.
They thought it was too sexual.

There were also stations banning rock and roll music
as it was  the music of the devil.
The same when KISS made its appearance, if you were a
member of the "KISS army" you were in a "satanic cult"
if something is moderately popular "they" as in some group being
it censorship/Religious/parental/Violence against anyone/thing.
will have a problem with it

Everything from body piercings, to dying your hair orange,
to the clothes you wear.and especially when it comes to the media..
apparently...
Porn turns you into a Rapist
Horror movies make you a serial killer
any type of angry music "heavy metal/rap" makes you a
violent killer.
Role Playing games dive you insane
television makes you stupid (hence its called "the Idiot box")
pro wrestling makes you a wife beater
and of course Video Games make kids into violent killers.
and it goes on and on and it will always be that way..

Take the internet for example everyone loves the internet especially
me but when the internet started gaining popularly suddenly
people were saying that it will infect your home, break
up your family and corrupt your kids while at the same time
stealing every dime you have or ever will have..
20 years from now people are going to say "HoloDecks
cause VR addiction and insanity when the player can no
longer tell fiction from reality"  so that will always be there.

Its funny that we're complaining about an American thing being
that you're in the UK and I'm from Canada. but isn't that always
the way..
well yeah I agree to some extent that she should be at fault.
she purchased the game and if there is a scene like that in there
(I never played Man Hunt) you could argue that, that is where he had
gotten the idea from, but then you can pretty much kill anyone with
just about anything..but still if the game was rated 18+ and he was
14, then like I said above he shouldn't have been playing it in the first
place. so yes some blame should go on her.
I call it "finger pointing" because they point the finger at
what they perceive to be the cause of the problem.  Take the
Columbine shooting as an example they blamed that in part
on video games such as Doom and Wolfenstein 3D.

Many lawsuits against video game manufacturers were filed as
a result by parents of some of the victims.
But not only were games like this blamed but the main blame the one
person they held responsible for this was Marilyn Manson..
here you can see his reaction to being blamed for it

I think he has an excellent point, I'm not a fan of his I like
maybe 3 songs of his but still he does make excellent points
you can also read the article that was written in Rolling Stone
by Manson here: http://www.antilife.org/files/marilyn.html
I fully agree that goes back to what I was saying with
the Gender restrictions and if you ever notice I am not
promoting Male violence against Women, I always
refer to it as Diva V.s Superstars and People get bent
out of shape.  also to restrict developers creativity
is not something they should do  people who complain forget that:

A. The average game player is 37 years old and has been playing
games for 12 years.

B. The average age of the most frequent game purchaser
is 41 years old.

C. In 2011, 29 percent of Americans over the age of 50 play
video games, an increase from nine percent in 1999.

D. Parents are present when games are purchased or rented 91
percent of the time.

(this information can be found here: http://www.theesa.com/facts/index.asp)

I deal in fact and figures, also the time of lil kids being the number one players
is gone and by making everything kid friendly it is hurting the industry as a whole.
The main game players are adults and the entertainment should grow with them but
true if they refuse to heed the ratings on the games and some idiot
parent buys a game they shouldn't and gives it to their child
and then complains about the violence in it it is their own fault.
Its not the games fault that piece of "Media" was produced for persons
over 18+ and not for a 9, 13 or 15 year old.

"Facts, common sense and numerous studies all debunk the myth
that there is a link between computer and video games and violence.

Blaming video games for violence in the real world is
no more productive than blaming the news media for bringing
crimes of violence into our homes night after night.  Having
someone or something to blame is convenient, especially after an
incident of terrible and unexplainable violence.  But to do so is
simplistic, and more importantly, it's wrong."
(quote from here:  http://www.theesa.com/facts/violence.asp)

The reason I used that quote is that I'm constantly told
"Blame Chris Benoit for the Gender Restrictions. It is his fault!"
Now I'm not going to do that and here is the problem with people
saying that. Here is what I told people who kept hammering away
with that excuse.

"Now here is the thing about the Chris Benoit excuse.
Now true it was a horrible thing that happened.
and it took place on June 25 2007  now SVR2008 was released
November 13, 2007 that is 4 months, 19 days after what happen
to Benoit.
Sure they removed all thing related to Benoit from SVR08
but if Female VS. Male was such a hot button thing at that
time then why wasn't that removed? they had over 4 Months to do it.
Then along came SVR09 which was released November 9, 2008
that's 1 year, 4 months, 16 days after the events of what
happened to  Benoit. Then finally SVR2010 came out on
October 20, 2009  and at that point it had been 2 years, 3 months, 26 days
since the Benoit thing.
If the Female VS. Male thing was such a hot button issue becasue
of the tragedy of Benoit.  wouldn't you think that it would have been
removed before SVR2008  was released?
I would think so!  I wouldn't wait over 2 years to remove a
problem.  that is why the "Benoit excuse"  doesn't work  especially
for me  becasue it doesn't make sense."
(releases dates are for North America)

No you can't blame it on him and what he did but of course
that is just one of the excuses I heard that most people cling to.
I think I made this long enough I might actually take
this and make it a blog post. Also don't worry about what people
say on the boards they are fixed into one opinion and will not change
it for anyone no matter what you say or do.
and if your opinion doesn't match theirs they'll take offense
to that.  Like the Benoit thing above when I posted that people
flipped out they don't like be showed up and someone telling them the
truth
----------------------

As you can see I did make it a blog post.
but it is true, you can't blame the Media for anything.

If that were the case then you could blame WWE for plenty.

for example on the July 11th 2011 episode of RAW Vince called CM Punk
a son of a bitch.  Now I do agree with what CM Punk said Vince is
probably the one of the biggest Hypocrites and do agree with alot of what
CM Punk had said. Also having good 'ol Stone Cold Steve Austin
running around calling every one with in ear shot a "sonovabitch"
Also here is Stone Cold Steve Austin flipping people off on  RAW 3/7/2011
(wait until the slider gets to 56 secs) he of course keeps doing
it as always and you can clearly see it again at 2:12 on the slider

That is not very kid or family friendly? I guess the WWE doesn't know of the old saying
"Bad language makes for Bad feelings"

Also regarding Stone Cold, you could blame WWE for alcoholism
all those years right up to recently where Stone Cold would come out
and downing "Steveweisers"

A kid could see that and think that drinking makes him cool and/or tough and take it up.
He could start drinking at an early age become an alcoholic and end up suffer from
Chronic pancreatiti, liver disease and quite possibility Cancer.

He could get drunk and start fights and serious hurt people or himself get hurt,
He could be drunk and get behind the wheel of a car and cause a serious accident
where you would hear on the news that he was a fan of WWE and more importantly
the hard drinking personality know as Stone Cold Steve Austin
"many family and friends said he took up drink because his hero did"

Also this guy could get drunk and hit his girlfriend/wife
with out the benefit of video games. (becasue apparently
Inter-gender violence in video games turns men into women
beaters or so I'm told)
Some weeks ago on RAW John Cena took part in drinking with
Stone Cold

Now kids look up to Cena and what type of example is this
sending to them?
Also I have to laugh at John Cena and the WWE.   He is no longer allowed to do
the "STFU"  its just a "STF" now, along with the "FU" which is now an
"Attitude Adjustment"  but the thing that makes me giggle all the time is
his "5 Knuckle Shuffle"   am I the only one who knows that this name is
another term for masturbation?  As in a guy jerking off..
I don't know if the WWE or John Cena know this?  but it makes me
laugh ever time!

I was talking to a friend of mine, the other day about this topic and we had to have a
laugh becasue the blaming of video games for all of societies problems happened before,
but not with video games.. but with another popular medium the Comic Book.

Back in the 1940's and 1950's of the comic book censorship crusade,
refereed to by many as the "Seduction of the Innocent" which is
biased on a book of the same name which was created out of the
apparent findings and the works of Dr. Fredric Wertham.

"Seduction of the Innocent is a book by German-American psychiatrist
Fredric Wertham, published in 1954, that warned that comic books were
a negative form of popular literature and a serious cause of juvenile
delinquency. The book was a minor bestseller that created alarm in parents
and galvanized them to campaign for censorship. At the same time, a U.S.
Congressional inquiry was launched into the comic book industry. Subsequent
to the publication of Seduction of the Innocent, the Comics Code Authority
was voluntarily established by publishers to self-censor their titles."
 (Quote from  Wikipedia)

In this book it made many wild claims that comics promoted
juvenile delinquency, violence, sex, drug use and also made
outrageous clams that Characters such as Batman and Robin were gay lovers,
Wonder Woman's strength and independence made her a lesbian and
Superman was Un-American and was a fascist.

Wertham even gave testimony before the Senate Subcommittee on Juvenile
Delinquency restating arguments from his book and pointed to comics as a
major cause of juvenile crime.

With parental complaints and a governmental ruling handed down
which did not blame comics for crime, but recommended that the comics
industry tone down under the threat of potential censorship.
The comics code was created.

In the documentary film Comic Books Unbound, Stan Lee and other industry
figures state that the book caused comic book sales to plunge as well as
lead to mass public burnings of comics.

Lucky as of the 2000s the comics code is no longer in use

Why is this important in a topic about Video Games?
becasue pretty much the same thing happened to Video games.

In the early to mid 90s  After the release of games such as
Mortal Kombat, Doom, ect. there was much controversy over video game
content. Hearings on video game violence and the corruption of society
took place. (sound familiar?) and the cycle started all over again...
The Hearings headed by Joe Lieberman and Herb Kohl were held in late
1992 to 1993. The result of the hearings was that the entertainment
software industry was given one year to form a working rating system
or the federal government would intervene and create its own system.
(again governmental threats, much like the Comic Industry faced)

Around this time, the Video game Rating Council (VRC)
was formed by Sega of America to rate mostly its own games as other
publishers did the same.  It wasn't until On July 29, 1994 the proposal
from the IDSA for a rating system, the Entertainment Software Rating
Board (ESRB) was presented in Congress and approved. In September 1994,
the ESRB was established and became the de facto rater of video games in
the United States.

But like I said before...what good is a ratings board if very few
pay attention to it?

Now in closing
take this shooting in Norway..  It is a terrible thing that happened but
did you know 9 times out of ten  the first question that is asked is
did the shooter play video games?  why do they ask this? for sensationalism
and like I said they need something to blame..
I haven't really been following the story, but the guy could have had a
great deal of mental problems, but that wouldn't matter if he played video games
becasue of course then the "Media" would have something to point the finger at
and say "AH HA! see! the video games drove him to do it"  even if there is no evidence
that he remotely played any video games  you mention video game in the same
breath as this tragedy and people will jump all over it.

Now  it has been made clear that the Shooter (know as Anders Behring Breivik)
had claimed to have used Modern Warfare 2 as a "Training tool"
the article I read this in is from PC World and can be found here:
 PCWorld Article
the most important part I think of this article is as follows

Matt Peckham, PCWorld:

as for Modern Warfare 2's mention as a "training tool," what of it?
If your aim's to shoot accurately, shooting ranges are certainly also
training tools. So are BB guns, bows, pellet guns (and even, to a lesser
extent, water pistols and rifles).
Flight simulators have been located on computers found at suspected
Al Qaeda training bases. Should we ban shooting ranges, BB and pellet
guns, archery, and flight simulators because some nutjob goes ballistic,
then cites a video game as a "training tool" in a 1,500-page assemblage
of philosophical mumbo-jumbo?
Simply because of the potential for indirect misuse?

Of course not. There's no causal link here. All we have is another
aberrant who's done something shocking but, it's worth bearing in mind,
exceedingly rare; someone who allegedly chose to use widely available
technology as a savage means to his own twisted political ends."

-------------------------------------

The above quote is like what I said before in the original Blog post:
"Now If a guy is sick and simply wants to beat up women for no
reason that's HIS problem. He will find a way to do sick things otherwise!
I for one want to  boot up a game,Play as my character and have a knockdown
drag out fight with the Undertaker, why?  becasue that is fun
what would you rather do have a knock down drag out fight
3 stages of hell or Hell in a Cell with the Undertaker or
a singles match with Beth Phoenix for the 15th million time"

The game is not telling you to go beat up women, Nor is
WWE or THQ, NOBODY is telling you to do that it is just
a game meant for fun and is sadly taken to serious my most
people.

If  a game like SVR (WWE'12) and others like it such as
Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter is to blame for Domestic
as well as Inter-Gender violence then a game like Tomb Raider
can be blamed for promoting animal cruelty and you don't
see Peta storming the offices of Core Design or Crystal Dynamics

becasue Lara is shooting some wolves, bats and Dinosaurs.

Now even as much as people would like to
think there is proof ... in the end there is no hard evidence that
media violence creates real world violence.

WWE'12: Bigger, Badder, Better...and more Biased?!?

Yes everyone is excited for WWE'12 and the ass kissing has begun about how it is (or will be) the greatest thing EVER!!!  Now for people who know me I'm not an ass kisser.  I stand up and tell people how it is and this will be no exception.

Lets start with the new tag line.

so we went form:
2010 - It's your World Now (..but only of your a guy)
to:
2011 - This is your Moment (...but only if your Male)

and we're finally at 2012 - Bigger, Badder, Better! (and more biased?)

Well being that its "Badder"  what does that mean for PG and being Family Friendly?

You can't be PG,  Family Friendly and be Bad at the same time...

Being bad doesn't mean you can be cute and cuddly so the little kids like you.

Being Bad means fighting,  and violence, it means chair shots to the head  and being busted open

It means strong language  and stronger actions,  it means having Divas Vs. Superstars in a TLC Match

It means my female character chokeslaming the Undertaker through a table or making the Big Show tap out.

It means being sexy and kicking ass.   it means dropping the warmed over politically correct bullshit and having teeth and balls and not being afraid of stepping on toes or saying the wrong thing.

Do you think you're that "Bad" THQ?   I don't think so...    you want to prove me wrong?  I dare you!  so I'm calling you out!   This is like Cena and the Rock at Wrestlemania  you have from now until the game comes out.  So I don't mean to be Cliché but you better Bring It!    but I know you will punk out  I know you will disappoint me.  here is your chance not to.
-------
Now when THQ "Asked Fans what they Wanted in the game" I went and I told them this
exact thing. This was the actual post I posted on the website:

"1.Fix the skin chooser  put it back to the way it was where you could adjust it with
the sliders, the color and the tone those boxes for skin color was a terrible idea!  I can't
have the proper skin tone becasue of those boxes and no way to adjust it.

2. Make stuff like resiliency matter again,  what the point of having it if it is worthless.

3. I would have to say I favor the 2 Button Reversal system, have the one for strikes and
one for grapples seemed to work better then the one button thing. I find the one button does
not work as good as the 2

4. Make the Durability ability and Finisher button 2 separate buttons.  right now they are the same.
In a match you should be able to hold down something like select to activate the Durability "heal"
ability  leaving the Finisher button free to be used when needed

5.  Fix the grapple system.  the chain grapples are no good online and the situational grapples
just add fuel to the cheaters.  if your groggy all the time you can't really defend yourself.

6.  all Superstar and Diva parts used to make the preloaded WWE characters should be
available in create mode.  things such as the Undertakers tattoos and Mickie James' hair style
should be selectable and be able to be added to a created character.

7.  Make the game gender neutral again.  get rid of the stupid Mix Tag option and its stupid DQ rules for hitting female characters.  Make it so  once again Superstars created or other wise can fight Divas.  if you do this, this will make people happy again and generate more fun and interesting matches and more people will be playing the game again.  If you don't believe me read this thqletter4svr.blogspot.com/  we need to get back to the way it was in svr09 where we could have Inter gender Tornado Tags and Battle Royals.  Now if you don't want to put it back to that at least make it a choose able option.
In the section where you create a match (for online for example) it says either Superstars or
Divas all you have to do is add in a 3rd option of Anyone or Anybody or Everyone it doesn't
matter and have it be Superstars or Divas or Everyone.

That way if people want only Superstars then they can have it, if they just want
Divas then they can have that or if they want to really open it up and really have fun
like I do they can select the 3rd option.
or Just have it so you can turn off the DQ in Mixed Tags.
putting this like this was the worst idea in the history of SVR ideas!

7A. Also make it so Divas can compete in any match type,  and make it so they can compete against the Guys in any match type as well.

8.  what was the point of the level cap?  I thought it was all "Good news! no more grind in career more, this year you get all the points you need/want"   yeah I can see how that worked out.. I was quite happy grinding away in career mode,  that gave me an opportunity to feel out the game and change things along the way before going online, also I was able to put my stats the way I wanted them.  Not the way I was told how they should be.

9.  As for some thing DLC related  you should be able to possibility download some individual entrance tracks or maybe some music packs and be able to use them in both offline and online situations.  I would love to be able to use Layla's theme entitled "Nasty Girl"  for my entrance music online like I did in SVR09.

10.  Call Names/Ring Intros:   Enough of the random words!  No more "The Bruiser"  or "The Fall Guy"  and trust me not every girl wants to be called Angel!  you try being in a 6 Diva match where everyone is called Angel!   Now true some of the words are useful I know people who use "the Monster"  and "Mr.Amazing"  some of them are good and make sense but what we need more of is real people names  you know I would love it if I could come out to my name just once.  "On their way to the ring from Canada, Shannon!"   that would be awesome!   and is it hard no?   am I asking for much no... is it do able? YES!  hell I was "Sexy Girl"  in SVR09 and I was happy with that.  but you had to go and take that away from me also  I've been "The Superstar"  for both SVR10&11  and I hate it!  if your going do do random words put in stuff like "The Queen" or "Naughty" or how about "Jones" but we need more real people names and you can start with mine.

11.   If you don't like Number 7 then how about doing this:

in an Online Match as well as and Offline match everything should be adjustable.
For a video game that purports to give the player ultimate control over their creations and
the in game Universe it does a terrible job of it.

everything and I do mean EVERYTHING should have an off/on switch

Blood off/on
Weight Detection off/on
Diva Vs. Superstars off/on
Stamina System off/on
Weapons off/on
Tap Out/Submission off/on
Ring Out off/on
DQ off/on
Ect..

That's the way it should be. simple as that and with that everyone can be happy and play how they like in what ever match they like in anyway they want to do it. if some people what to go and do an ultra realistic match simulation then they can adjust the I guess you would say stipulations anyway way they want to achieve that .
I for one don't want to play an ultra realistic match simulation, i want to have fun and do crazy stuff and be silly have a good time, power bomb the Big Show, punch the Undertaker in the face and win the Royal Rumble while enjoying my online play with my Male and Female friends at the same time.

12. Make the Brand logo that was created in Paint Tool be visible online
instead of that gray thing.having my brand logo would be cool. "

---------
Now with that said there as been a new interview this Brian Williams concerning WWE'12
the first part is here the others are there also: http://youtu.be/flU1i72uc9I

Now I don't know this Brian Williams guy personally but I think THQ gets him
to talk to people mainly becasue  he comes off as this young looking, fun, likeable,
animated guy, he speaks very well and is always smiling and somewhat joking around.
I think the PR department sends him out becasue they see him as being
relatable to the fans.

Now after watching the Whole interview I picked out some key things that he said and commented on them

"Were going back to the roots of what made the smackdown series fun to begin with"

Well for 10 years the series was gender-neutral, where Divas could fight Superstars
and vice versa that alone made the series fun for many people and is part of the series'
roots but I doubt it will be in this new game.

"We want you to play how you want to play opposed to how we're forcing you to play"

Uh, yeah I don't think this is going to change on my end of the stick which is already
very short as it is. I'm going to be forced to play a certain way regardless of what he says.

"We want you to be happy about the game"

I use to be...

"Were doing this for you guys, and we want to give you your money's worth"

That seems similar to what he said last year:

"SvR2011 is dedicated to the fans and what they want"

to which I replied "Well I'm a fan and you're not doing me any favors!"
becasue taking away the ability to enjoy the game with my friends both male and female
at the same time limits my enjoyment of the product.

"We don't want to dum it down or take away any functionally from the passed"

we all know this is BS becasue they have already done it.

Also not one word about Divas, just goes to show how important we are...
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't any Divas in the game at all.
--------
Well I guess that's it then..  according to creative director Cory Ledesma  (this guy)
said in regards to  Divas Vs. Superstars in the new up upcoming WWE'12

"its out of my hands. Male vs Female violence is obviously something WWE and THQ wants to avoid promoting in a teen rated game."

"gender restrictions are the same. We have to follow what happens on WWE TV. We are not allowed to add this back in."

which is kind of stupid when you think of it. like the post below this says it was in the games from the very first Smackdown (2000) right up to Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009.    they never promoted it, it was just always there and it made the games far more fun and enjoyable.

Also people still tell me to stop complaining about it.  Well like I said I don't complain if there is nothing to complain about, I'm not that type of person but this is worth complaining about becasue it is unfair to a great majority of players.  That is why I'm mad with pretty much the whole thing. WWE/THQ is as far as the women are concerned they are two faced and hypercritical  they say one thing and do another.

So I guess until women start having matches against men *cough* Beth in Royal  Rumble *cough*  you won't see this in WWE games any more,  no matter what anyone says.   and do you know what makes me sad? The number 1 thing right now that everyone is concerned about isn't this..it isn't game play or move set,  the number one thing people care about in WWE12 is whether Randy Orton will have a beard or not...that's your WWE Universe...

This is what a Male player told me in regards to Cory Ledesma's statment:

Gender restriction is dumb and it alienates female players who don't like choosing Superstars to represent them and don't want to be stuck facing Divas forever. And vice versa. Especially online this is problematic because it segregates as mentioned previously. Not everyone wants to play as the opposite gender just to have matches with that gender. Somehow I think if we lived on the fictional planet "Angel One" this would be a non-issue. If it was still an issue, the men would be complaining about the lack of equality in WWE games instead of the women, like they do now. I would like it in so I could play with and/or against my fiancee without her having to choose a Superstar or worry about DQ from accidentally touching a Diva.

Also on a side note Cory Ledesma wants you (the consumer) to stop buying Second Hand games!

--------
Now I have to say  that it is funny and that Cory Ledesma is an ass..   take a look at
the statement above where he says "We have to follow what happens on WWE TV"
in the words of the Miz "Really?" so on WWE TV  which is of course WWE Programing,
you are not allowed to take chair shots to the head anymore, Also have you ever noticed
that no body bleeds anymore in the WWE?   No one gets "busted open" as they use to say.
but yet that is still in the game?   true "Divas"  aren't allowed to bleed  heaven forbid a
woman cuts her lips on a tooth during a match.  but still "Superstars"  can take chair shots
to the head and bleed in game but can't on TV.

That leads me to another point which is somewhat the reverse.  They don't want
Women VS. Men but yet they do that on WWE TV  but wait a minute??
"gender restrictions are the same. We have to follow what happens on WWE TV"
if I'm not mistaken the clip below is from WWE TV:

I know you might say "oh but that was before the PG Era"  I don't know if you
noticed at the start of the video in the upper left where it says "PG"   now I know
she is not fighting Triple H or the Undertaker but still  she is going one on one with a
MALE Superstar!   but apparently according to THQ this doesn't happen on WWETV so
it isn't in the game.  Now there is 58 likes on that video and
what happens when she wins the crowd cheers!  they don't boo, they cheer!
There are plenty of matches like that and correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Tough Enough
WWETV also?  I know it is not the same as Raw or Smackdown but they still had matches
and I believe I seen Ivelisse scoop slamming Eric Watts on tough enough
(I think those are the right people)

Now that brings me to my next point  The Royal Rumble.  Why can't I compete in the
Royal Rumble while using my Female character?   you might say
"Women can't be in the Rumble!"  well lets have a little look at this video, its called
"WWE Royal Rumble: By The Numbers"
this short little video appeared before the 2011 Royal Rumble, Lets watch!

Now if you notice at the slider mark of 1:22 it clearly says 2 women competitors,
Chyna and Beth Phoenix but wait a second,  if both Chyna and Beth Phoenix can take
part in the Royal Rumble, why can't I?
remember THQ said "We have to follow what happens on WWE TV"  correct me if
I'm wrong but doesn't The Royal Rumble count as WWETV?   from what I'm being
told its not...

*UPDATE!*

As of January 29th 2012 Kharma (aka Awesome Kong) is now the 3rd Woman
to enter the Royal Rumble and yet chances are women will get to do this on
the game? doubtful.. why?  simple:
"Male vs Female violence is obviously something WWE and THQ wants to avoid
promoting in the game, We also have to follow what happens on WWE TV"
Yet they allow it on their programing...

---------
Now with that said we move on to another problem the 6-person tag match.
I remember around the time SVR2011 was coming out that THQ said that it was
Impossible for 6 divas to be in the right at one time, due  to the way the hair was
on the models and if 6-Divas were put into the ring at one time it would crash the
game engine.   That was later proven to be totally Bullshit!
because you can have 6-Divas in a Armageddon Hell in a Cell.  I personally have been
in a few and actually one one and it was online no less and it ran smoothly with no
problems.   After this was pointed out THQ changed their answer saying
That you can't have 6-person tag matches because of the "Diva Hair models"
to which people pointed out you could make 6 Male CAW/CAS and give them
Long "Diva Hair"  and put them in a 6-person tag match and nothing happens.
the game still runs smoothly.

Now with the up coming WWE12,  THQ  again said that it will be impossible
for 6-Diva Tag matches to take place and the reason given for the inability to
do this?   "Women have "curves"  Yes that was the reason handed down by
Cory Ledesma himself!   a woman's  "curves" will prevent them from having
6 Diva Tags and this did not go over well with the Female players and fans

One female player had this to say:
"I'm so mad the divas get overlooked again, how hard is it to make
6 diva matches? Hell they wasted their time making 2 versions of
Orton...let's face it thq, much like wwe,  don't give a crap about the
divas no matter how much they promise more focus."

"They want to make the game more realistic, they know the fans have
been asking for this. So why don't they try to work on it? They work on
other insignificant details of the game but no...divas like always get pushed
aside. Heck if something is wrong for the men, like Orton's punt yea we'll
definitely change it, no doubt about it but no divas...there's next year..and
the year after that...and after that. Marcus promised more diva focus but from
what I'm seeing he either forgets a lot or THQ don't give a crap for divas and
diva players. Divas always get the short end of the stick, I'm not talking about
restrictions cause I kind of agree with that but moves, Beth's GlamSlam,
Melina's split, the faithbreaker, entrances like Eve's. It's like they just put in the
divas from last year's game and call it the divas roster. I'm surprised they change
the models. THQ must remember that there are still female players buying the game
and they too wish that their voices would be heard every once in a while. And now
year after year we're being ignored.  For me the game never changes because I
never play as superstars so I don't know the improvements and since they
never do anything with the divas I feel as if I'm playing the same game as last year's. "

Another Female player had this to say:

The funny thing is that THQ released this comment apologizing to the diva
fans after the release of the 2011 game:

“Divas…what can I say? You guys clearly want our game to have a bigger Divas influence.
I’ve expressed this to our team, and we’ll see where it comes out in the future.
You guys shouted from the rooftops about Divas, so it’s going to force us to take

a look and see what we can do. ”

What did they do? Exactly, NOTHING again.

They will keep it as it is, bring up a excuse or two about how WWE  "doesn't let them"

(yeah right...) and that's it!  I highly doubt that WWE doesn't let them having
6 diva tag matches when they are taking place every week in smackdown and this
week even in superstars.

A few months ago we also had a 8 divas match in superstars and two weeks ago

a 14 divas(I admit the match was a joke but still) match aswell.
The limitations they are bringing up as a excuse (yes, unfortunately it is one),

are all modeling based.

Saying that a engine can hold 6 very muscular male caws with long hair

and tons of other stuff but not having the possibility to hold 6 slim divas because
of their "curves" is indeed bullshit. Sorry.  Before that they said it was the hair,
now are the curves, what comes next?

"Oooohhh couldn't apply ANY divas in the game cause we couldn't apply

their make up on the models"?

If you have a real problem to add something or don't wanna add it,

then be a professional and give away the real reason.
Making such statements like the ones they did makes them only look

unprofessional.

Most of all when they promise year after year that "this and that" will be

added in the next game, only to come up with such statements when the
time has come all over again and give another empty promise to the players
so they will still buy the game in the hope to get these things in the next game.

Then when everyone notices that they got fooled, rinse and repeat.

The only real technical issue they might have could be the most obvious

thing: space on the disc if the new engine needs more.
Due to this they obviously drop out everything they consider as not

being high priority while adding ortons beard that is high priority
as example.

He is a wwe cashcow and many people would be buying their product

because of him after all.  Of course its normal that they will go for things
that sell first, they are a company after all, but at least come up with a real reason
instead of lame excuses."

and finally from this player:

"Nothing doesn't look like its going to change either when WWE 12 gets here if their
really focusing on just game play.  WWE is limiting us on purpose probably to just
piss every diva fan off which is why we get quick one match shows with the
diva's on tv with really no story line which sucks."

As you can clearly see people are not happy about the game as it is right now.  in some
of the earlier games female characters seemed like they could do alot more then they started
slowly limiting what they could do, I think that was in part a tactic to see if anyone was paying
attention, but I do believe that that is the main goal to push out the Divas and Diva fans.

WWE'12 = EPIC DIVA FAIL!

WATCH THIS VIDEO!!

DOES THIS SEEM FAIR?
SERIOUSLY IS THIS FAIR TO THE FEMALE PLAYERS AND DIVA FANS?
THIS IS INNOVATIVE,FRESH AND NEW?
THIS IS WHAT YOU CONSIDER BIGGER,BADDER,BETTER??
ALL THIS STUFF IS THE SAME?!? WHERE IS THE NEW?
I'M SURE THE GUYS HAVE ALL NEW STUFF ADDED BUT NOPE
DIVAS GET THE SHAFT AGAIN!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NEW CREATE PARTS THAT WERE
SUPPOSE TO BE PUT IN?  I'LL TELL YOU, THEY ARE ALL MALE RELATED
PARTS!
HELL THERE IS WHAT 4 DIFFERENT RANDY ORTON MODELS?
THIS IS MORE PROOF THAT WWE/THQ HATES THE FEMALE PLAYERS
AND THE DIVA FANS!

JOHN CENA IS ON TV 2 SOMETIMES 3 TIMES A WEEK
PROMOTING "RISE ABOVE HATE"  BUT THEN THEY SEND
THE OPPOSITE MESSAGE WITH STUFF LIKE THIS
WHY DO YOU HATE US?

IF YOUR NOT PLAYING THE GAME AS ORTON OR CENA
OR EVEN THE UNDERTAKER, NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOU!
THE SAME GOES WITH CAWS IF YOUR CAW IS NOT MALE,
NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOU!
WE THE FEMALE PLAYERS AND DIVA FANS
AREN'T CONSIDERED IMPORTANT !
WE GET SECOND RATE AND LAZY DEVELOPMENT
IN SOMETHING CALLED "WORLD" WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT
 WE ARE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS!
WE ARE SECOND RATE, AND APPARENTLY DON'T DESERVE
THAT SAME AMOUNT OF TIME AND EFFORT THAT OUR MALE
COUNTERPARTS ARE AFFORDED.

I PERSONALLY THINK THEY ARE TRYING TO DRIVE
AWAY THE LAST REMAINING FEMALE PLAYERS AND/OR
DIVA FANS AND I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF A POSSABLE
WWE'13 WILL BE DIVA FREE.  I THINK THAT IS THE ULTIMATE
GOAL OF WWE/THQ .
